Taking the strain for new heavyweight

Members of the GAC Oman team at Sohar look on as a new 635-ton heavy lift mobile crane is unloaded to join the fleet at the busy port.

The Konecranes Gottwald crane was discharged under the GAC’s agency after a 29-day voyage from Westdorpe in the Netherlands.

Once commissioned, the crane will significantly increase capacity at the C. Steinweg terminal, bringing benefits both to the port and its users.
