Reduced carbon emissions earn LowCarbonSG logo

GAC Singapore cuts emissions by almost three times the benchmark

GAC Singapore has earned the right to display the LowCarbonSG logo following successful efforts to measure and reduce its carbon footprint.

LowCarbonSG is a capability building programme by Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CLPC) Singapore which encourages businesses to monitor, track, report and, where possible, reduce their carbon emissions.

GAC Singapore signed up for the programme in late 2021, identifying three emission areas to track: fuel consumption, land transportation and electricity from the national grid. By diligent tracking and implementation of initiatives from encouraging employees to use public transport to changing diesel-powered forklifts to electric, GAC Singapore staff reduced their reduced their annual emissions by 14.7%, nearly three times the 5% benchmark set by participating businesses.
