Soil investigation works off Pulau Samulun

From 21 August to 31 December, soil investigation works are being conducted off Pulau Samulun.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.074 of 2023, the works are being carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays and public holidays - at the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

11 01° 17.955'N / 103° 41.895'E
12 01° 17.965'N / 103° 41.928'E
13 01° 17.953'N / 103° 41.960'E
14 01° 18.022'N / 103° 41.975'E

The soil investigation work will be carried out by jack-up barge assisted by tug boats.

A safety zone of a 30m radius centered from the location of the work barge will be in place.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during working hours.

Craft will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
