Maintenance work at Shell Single Buoy Mooring

From 6 February to 6 April, maintenance work will be carried out at the Shell Single Buoy Mooring.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.11 of 2022, the works are being conducted 24 hours daily, including Sundays, within the area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°11.688’N / 103°47.156’E
2) 01°11.688’N / 103°47.698’E
3) 01°11.249’N / 103°47.698’E
4) 01°11.249’N / 103°47.156’E

The maintenance work involves the temporary removal of single bouy mooring and subsea hose, pile anchor installation, recovery of old chain, installation of new chain, reinstallation of mooring buoy and subsea hose.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
