Dockers & port staff vote to strike

Members of the Dockers and Port Staff Union (Fédération Nationale des Ports et Docks) have voted to take strike action in protest against government retirement reform law.

The following actions have been decided:

  • prorogation of the refusal by dockers to perform exceptional shifts or overtime

  • a week of specific actions consisting:
    - 4-hour strike on 5 February from 10:00 to 16:00 hours local time;
    - 24-hour strike on 7 February;
    and
    - 4-hour strike on 9 February from 10:00 to 16:00 hours local time.

This action will affect dockers, crane drivers and Port staff at St Nazaire, Montoir and Nantes, as well as crane drivers at Donges (installation/removal of shore gangway when used).

The Elengy Terminal at Montoir should not be affected.
