Construction of subsea pipeline from east of Tau Lo Chau to west of Tai A Chau

For approximately six months, construction of a subsea pipeline [is being] carried out along the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (L):

(C) 22° 09.242’N 113° 57.448’E
(D) 22° 09.179’N 113° 57.209’E
(E) 22° 09.086’N 113° 56.603’E
(F) 22° 08.982’N 113° 56.152’E
(G) 22° 08.801’N 113° 55.569’E
(H) 22° 08.616’N 113° 54.780’E
(I) 22° 08.589’N 113° 54.467’E
(J) 22° 08.650’N 113° 54.160’E
(K) 22° 08.793’N 113° 53.885’E
(L) 22° 09.468’N 113° 52.956’E

The works are being carried out by two special purpose vessels and two dumb lighters. One tugboat and two guard boats will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around each working vessel is established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors are laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the working vessels.

The hours of work are round-the-clock.

Diving operations are carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works area at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.
