Sri Lanka – GAC Marine Services Pvt. Limited, a GAC Sri Lanka company, has won the Gold Award in the “Shipping and Shipping Related Services” category of the National Business Excellence Awards 2015 organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka.
The National Business Excellence Awards are an annual competition to recognise business enterprises which have demonstrated excellence in business, whilst contributing to the economic progress of the country. It’s the second time that GAC Marine Services has walked away with the accolade. The company first took the “Shipping and Shipping Related Services” Gold when it entered the Awards for trophy for the first time in 2013. A year later, it was presented with a Merit Award in same category.
“This is culmination of a tremendous run for the us,” says General Manager Navin Perera. “In 2015, we have broken our own records for the highest number of jobs handled by a single agent in Sri Lanka for a calendar month (391), and GAC’s partners in Sri Lanka - the McLarens Group – has named us the year’s best performing company.
“All these achievements are the result of the hard work by every member of the staff, from the management to the ground.”
