Overview
Saudi Arabia has about 24% of the world’s proven oil reserves. Not surprisingly, the oil industry dominates its economy, accounting for 90% of export earnings. To diversify the economy, construction has started on a new city, King Abdullah Economic City, on the western coast which will incorporate the Kingdom’s largest port as well as petrochemical, pharmaceutical, tourism, finance and education & research areas.
GAC Saudi Arabia has grown from a single operational office at Ras Tanura to today’s operations at the major ports of Dammam, Al Khafji, Jeddah, Yanbu, Jubail, Ras Tanura, Ras Al-Khafji and Rabigh, as well as the dry port in Riyadh. During more than half a century of operation, we have become one of the leading shipping agencies in the Kingdom.
