Overview
Though still relatively undeveloped, Benin’s economy is growing and efforts are being made to attract foreign investment, focusing on tourism, and development of new food processing systems and agricultural products. Projects to enhance the business climate were included in Benin’s Millennium Account grant in February 2006.
Cotonou is home to the country’s main port and international airport, and a new port is under construction between Cotonou and Porto Novo.
In Benin, GAC has formed an alliance with leading ship agent GETMA International. GAC-GETMA provides a broad range of professional ship agency and logistics services to vessels calling at the country’s ports.
