GAC Training and Service Solutions

Powered by the National Maritime College of Ireland

When you have a ship worth USD 25 million with a multi-million dollar cargo at a billion dollar terminal, you need to know you have the best people at the helm – and the best people are delivered through the best maritime training.

From January 2017, all seafarers must undergo refresher training every five years to meet the requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification & Watchkeeping (STCW). GAC can help you meet that need for world class quality maritime training services with GAC Training & Service Solutions (GTSS), formed in partnership with the world's most advanced maritime academic facility, the National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI).

World-class training, flexible options

GTSS combines the GAC Group’s shipping experience and industry contacts with the training resources and expertise of the NMCI to deliver professional maritime training for both seafarers and shore-based personnel.

Flexibility is key especially for global training. We provide selected training programmes at a variety of venues around the world, on-site at your own location, online or at the NMCI’s USD 100 million state-of-the-art facility in Cork, Ireland, which offers:

  • A suite of 23 bridge, engine room, fleetwork, VTS and Global Maritime Distress & Safety System simulators, including 360 degree imaging;
  • Fully operational full-sized ship engine and control rooms;

  • Return To Scene (R2S) digital photographic imaging;
  • A survival pool;
