Three new managers to drive commercial strategy

London – GAC Logistics UK, part of the global shipping, logistics and marine services provider GAC Group, has added three key managers to its general freight commercial team to sharpen its focus on performance and meet growing demand as the UK market returns to buoyancy.

Left to Right:
John Iosco, Route Development Executive – USA, GAC Logistics UK Ltd
Andy Domville, Sales Executive, GAC Logistics UK Ltd
Glenn Barnes, General Manager – Logistics, GAC Logistics UK Ltd

Heading the UK's logistics operations as General Manager - Logistics is Glenn Barnes. He brings to his new role 15 years of senior management experience and a proven record of delivering results for a number of impressive, big name clients such as Tesco, IBM & HP. He is also an experienced performance manager and team developer with a wealth of expertise in developing new and existing business.

Glenn will be based in the company's Manchester Airport office, as will Sales Executive Andy Domville. Andy has 20 years of multimodal logistics experience and is tasked with building and developing long-term client relationships throughout the north west of England.

The third new addition to the GAC Logistics UK management team is Chicago-born Route Development Manager - USA, John Iosco, a trade lane professional with more than two decades of sales management and logistics experience. Based at GAC UK's London Heathrow HQ, John's expertise lies in multimodal supply chains, growing US trade lanes and fashion logistics. He is also a US Border Patrol and HMRC clearing specialist.

GAC UK Managing Director Peter Cole says: "These strategic appointments represent an injection of new talent and fresh ideas that is certain to complement and bring new momentum, energy and direction to the commercial team. We've seen a steady return to more favourable trading conditions and better prospects over recent months and now is the time to maximise the opportunities before us to grow the business."

The strengthening of GAC UK’s general freight team comes after the company’s strategic enhancement of its integrated shipping, logistics and marine services for the oil & gas sector, under the leadership of Steve Gibson, General Manager - Energy, supported by Leigh-Ann Rogie, Business Development Executive. Both are based in the company's Aberdeen facility.
