Upgrading works at Vopak Terminal

From 6 July 2021 to 5 January 2022, upgrading works are being conducted at the Vopak Terminal.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.051 Of 2021, the works are being carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays – at Bayan Basin, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

WORKING AREA A
1) 1°15.887’N / 103°41.124'E
2) 1°15.907'N / 103°41.142'E
3) 1°15.871'N / 103°41.182'E
4) 1°15.851'N / 103°41.164'E
New structures will be constructed using pilling barges, crane barge, supported by work barges and tug boat.

WORKING AREA B
5) 1°16.043’N / 103°41.127'E
6) 1°16.055'N / 103°41.138'E
7) 1°16.033'N / 103°41.162'E
8) 1°16.021'N / 103°41.151'E
Materials for construction will be stored at location.

A safety boat will be in attendance at all times to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
