Pilot Boat Charge – Fuel Surcharge

Belfast Harbour has introduced a fuel surcharge on pilot boat charges due to cost increases.

The new surcharge, implemented from 1 November until 31 December on all inward and outward pilot boat journeys across boarding points B, C and A, is as follows:

  • Fuel Surcharge – Boarding Point B: £24.98 on each inward or outward journey
  • Fuel Surcharge – Boarding Point C: £19.98 on each inward or outward journey
  • Fuel Surcharge – Boarding Point A: £34.97 on each inward or outward journey

The fuel surcharge will be reviewed again with from 1 January 2023 based on the average prices of MGO purchased in the previous quarter (Q4 2022).

The fuel surcharge is shown as a separate line item on the pilotage invoices.
