Marine works at Aberdeen Marina Club

For approximately 13 months, marine works involving piling works will be carried out in the following works areas:

WORKS AREA 1
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (H) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 14.721’N 114° 09.827’E
(B) 22° 14.718’N 114° 09.822’E
(C) 22° 14.706’N 114° 09.834’E
(D) 22° 14.699’N 114° 09.826’E
(E) 22° 14.695’N 114° 09.830’E
(F) 22° 14.627’N 114° 09.749’E
(G) 22° 14.682’N 114° 09.696’E
(H) 22° 14.708’N 114° 09.696’E

WORKS AREA 2
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (I) to (M) and the adjacent shoreline:
(I) 22° 14.652’N 114° 09.815’E
(J) 22° 14.654’N 114° 09.814’E
(K) 22° 14.680’N 114° 09.845’E
(L) 22° 14.670’N 114° 09.856’E
(M) 22° 14.665’N 114° 09.850’E

The works will be carried out by one flat-top work barge. Two tugs will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 10 metres around the barge will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the barge.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. The flat-top barge employed for the works will stay in the works areas outside the hours of work.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works areas at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the areas.
