Overview

Tanzania is rich in natural resources such as gold (it is Africa’s third largest producer) and natural gas. Gas is pumped to the commercial capital Dar Es Salaam for domestic use and export. The country also has large reserves of diamonds, coal, iron ore, uranium, chrome, tin and other minerals. Industry focuses on the processing of agricultural products and light consumer goods. The tourism sector also makes a significant contribution to the nation’s economy.

GAC-Seaforth is a partnership between the GAC Group and the Seaforth Shipping Group which provides professional port, shipping and logistics services to vessels calling at ports in Tanzania and elsewhere in East Africa.

GAC-Seaforth handles all types of vessels, enabling it to monitor cargo flows and provide timely information to traders, cargo interests and ship owners. We also maintain a comprehensive cargo statistics database to help customers make commercial decisions.
