18 Sep 17

Stockholm, Sweden – The GAC Pindar sailing team skippered by Ian Williams repeated their 2016 triumph when they won the M32 Series Scandinavia for the second year running on Saturday (16 September 2017).

With a final overall score of 68 points for the Series, GAC Pindar beat rivals Wallén Racing to the top spot by 8 points. Their win in the fifth and final regatta of the series, in Stockholm, followed two previous first-place finishes in Risör, Norway, and Aarhus, Denmark. Throughout the Series, GAC Pindar was the only team not to finish any of the events in last place.

Celebrating the victory, skipper Ian Williams says: “We have struggled for consistency this year but I have been really pleased with how the team has come together to win back-to-back regattas, and with them retain our Scandinavian Series Title. Now we are already looking forward to more great racing in 2018!”

He’ll be back to defend the title and aims for a third M32 Series Scandinavia championship next year.
