GAC's Port D/A (Disbursement Accounts) Administration lets Principals concentrate on revenue-earning tasks by outsourcing time-consuming and routine processes associated with agency accounting. Disbursement Accounts are carefully checked at proforma and final stage by our experienced team at GAC’s Global Disbursement Centre (GDC) in Dubai. All coordinators involved are specially trained in ship agency accounting, ensuring the correct application and calculation of port tariffs.

Port D/A Management is an enhanced version of the basic Port D/A Administration package which hinges on tightening the cost control.
Our experienced operations managers at the Hub Agency Centres (HACs) in Houston, London, Dubai and Singapore actively negotiate proforma disbursement accounts on Principals' behalf. Their goal is not simply to ensure that port agents submit accurate proformas, but to use their local expertise and contacts to lower overall port call costs. Every opportunity is used to challenge expenses and take advantage of discounts or reduced tariffs, using GAC's bargaining power and concessions which other agents might overlook or might not enjoy.
|Port Call Management
GAC Port Call Management is a quantum leap in port call handling that can be used to reduce your overhead costs worldwide. It offers the best of both worlds - efficient top-down control of expenses, combined with local service and expertise in more than 1000 ports worldwide.
The service is delivered through our global network of owned offices, strategic partners and carefully selected and preferred port agents, working under the watchful eyes of the four regional Hub Agency Centres in Houston, London, Dubai and Singapore.
While the principal retains full control of the operations and remain in contact with the vessels and port agents, time-consuming tasks like port call supervision and expense control are handled by the Hub Agency Centres.
Our Global Disbursement Centre (GDC) in Dubai acts as single point of contact for all financial transactions. The Principal receives from the GDC a consolidated funds request on a weekly basis for expenses in all ports covered. Once verified and received, payments are then transferred by the GDC to the relevant port agents. All charges are carefully documented and always available for Principal's review.
